LDL vs. HDL

Part of being healthy also means eating right and in order to do that it is important to know what is in your food and how it effects your body. Cholestorol is one of those things that people assume is horrible for them just because of all of the cholesterol-reducing products out there. Believe it or not, a certain type of cholestorol is actually good for you. In fact, you need it to be healthy. This cholestorol is called HDL, whereas the bad one is called LDL. Cutting back on the bad cholosterol is pretty simple: stop eating bad foods that have a lot of cholestorol on their nutritional labels. To increase HDL it is important to excercise and moderating alcohol intake. You can also take fatty-3 omega acids (you can find them in supplement form) in order to increase HDL.
